Fire damage can be devastating and overwhelming, and it’s important to have a professional handle the cleaning and restoration of your property.
Our experienced restoration team will thoroughly inspect your property and determine the necessary steps to return your home or business back to the way it was before. Our assessment may include restoration of the building, restoration or replacement of personal property, fire damage repair, smoke damage clean-up, and water damage dryout and repair.
As a home or business owner, there are steps you can take to help minimize further damage and contamination.
It’s helpful to contact your insurance company as soon as possible.
Tell the representative that Summit Restoration & Construction is handling the cleanup and restoration of your property, and be sure to write down the claim number you are given.
Your Summit project manager or specialist will be happy to meet with your insurance adjuster to discuss the damage and necessary restoration and/or construction.
We will board-up any open areas, including doors, windows, and roofs in order to prevent further damage to your property and belongings. If your building is no longer structurally sound, our expert team will complete whatever construction is needed to restore the structural integrity and safety of your home or business. Areas that are unaffected by the fire or smoke will be protected or contained to prevent contamination from spreading.
Depending on the extent of the damage, we will do as much demolition as necessary, and repair any and all damage, including roofing, framing, drywall, stucco, flooring, and everything in between. Summit is both a licensed commercial and residential general and roofing contractor, and we have extensive experience in restoration work and construction. Not only will we restore your property to its pre-fire condition, we will do it thoroughly, quickly, and right.
In addition to any construction to your building, Summit will attempt to restore any furniture or personal belongings if possible. Your building will be thoroughly cleaned, with all soot removed and odors eradicated.

Summit Restoration has highly trained and experienced mold remediation technicians who adhere strictly to industry guidelines for both your safety and ours.
Exposure to mold can cause nasal stuffiness, wheezing, skin irritations, and in some people, even worse symptoms. It is important to address a mold problem as soon as possible. Generally, when you can see evidence of mold in your home or business, there is 2-3 times more mold at the source growing and unseen. Not only does mold pose a serious health hazard, but it can eat away at the porous surface of load bearing beams and supports and cause structural damage to your property.
We will first do a thorough visual inspection of your home or office to determine the best course of action. Moisture saturation levels will be determined using invasive and non-invasive moisture meters, and pre-remediation mold tests will be performed.
Any affected areas will be contained for your safety, and contaminated material will be removed.
A negative air system will be set up to remove any contaminants in the air. The entire area will be cleaned using all-natural germicide and antimicrobial products.
Once all mold has been removed/remediated and the affected area is dried out completely, a 3rd party company will complete a post-remediation mold test. We do this to comply with industry standards, thereby giving you peace of mind that there is no remaining mold in your home or business.
Upon confirmation that all mold has been remediated, our experienced specialists will reconstruct the affected area, including any structural repair, drywall, painting, and anything else needed to return your home or business to normal. We are a certified residential and commercial general contractor and have experts in all fields of construction.
If you plan to file a homeowner’s insurance claim, contact your insurance company. Let your representative know that Summit Restoration & Construction is working on remediating the mold in your home or office. Be sure to write down the claim number you are given. Your specialist or project manager would be happy to meet with your insurance adjuster or speak with the insurance company to go over the damage together. Our expertise and years of experience puts an expert in your corner to make sure the job is done right.
Mold is not something to take lightly, and the removal process may seem overwhelming, but it is vital to do it quickly and do it properly. Summit Restoration and Construction will not only put your family’s safety as a top priority, but we will also strive to make this process as easy and as stress-free as possible.
Upon arrival at your property, we will visually inspect and assess your situation.
Any water will be removed from your property using truck-mounted or portable extraction. We will then begin the appropriate dryout process needed for your building, including the use of air-movers, fans, dehumidifiers, and heaters. Containment areas may be set up as well, both for your protection and to aid in the dry-out of your home or office. It is important to have a professional dry out your property as quickly as possible, because unseen mold can begin to form within 48 hours and become a serious health hazard to your family.
We will monitor the dry-out with the use of penetrating and non-penetrating moisture meters to determine the depth of water saturation, as well as thermal imaging in some cases.
All-natural germicidal and anti-microbials will be used to prevent the growth of mold, bacteria, and other harmful microorganisms.
Once your home or office is drying out, contact your homeowner’s insurance company (find your insurance company claims department here) if you wish to file a claim. Tell the insurance representative that Summit Restoration & Construction is handling the dry-out of your property, and be sure to write down the claim number you are given.
From there, your Summit representative can deal with your insurance company directly and save you the time and stress.
